Nain High School Takes Company of the Year

Nain High School doing their part to protect the environment. Waste management in St Bess (St Elizabeth) has deteriorated as the local authorities are running out of space and resources to manage waste. This is how the little school in St Elizabeth students described the reason for their product development.

Rs Crafters a Grade 9 student run company was one of 41 high schools who completed the Junior Achievement Company of Entrepreneurship Program last school year. The student companies chose their company directors through a nomination process. Each company had a CEO and Directors. The business imitated a real business wherein they came up with a solution to a market problem. The Rs company developed a waterproof BAG made out of recycling materials. The company states their product is “a perfect example of the recycle-related terms; reuse, reduce and recycle”
