Kindergarten

This program introduces kindergarten students to the intersection of financial literacy and early elementary grades social studies learning objectives. Through hands-on classroom activities, the program provides students with an introduction to personal economics and the choices consumers make to meet their needs and wants.

Grade 1

This program introduces students to learning objectives for first-grade social studies, including families, neighborhoods, money, and needs and wants. Through hands-on classroom activities, students also explore the concept of entrepreneurship, specifically the ways in which businesses provide goods, services, and jobs for families.

Grade 3

This program (featuring Cha-Ching TM) introduces third-grade students to financial literacy and grade-level social studies learning objectives, including how people manage their money and the importance of economic exchange within a city. Dr. Alice Wilder, an award-winning expert on childhood learning (Blue’s Clues, Super Why, Cha-Ching, Speakaboos, and Amazon Kids original programming), consulted on the program’s redevelopment.

JA More Than Money

Grade 3 – 5

This program introduces third, fourth, and fifth-grade students to financial literacy and entrepreneurship and to social studies learning objectives that include money-management, goods and services, and global markets. Through hands-on activities and a JA cast of characters serving as symbols for financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts, students will learn a practical approach to starting a business and making smart decisions about managing money.

Grade 5

This program is an integrated approach to learning core subject areas such as Language Arts, Mathematics and Social Studies taught at this grade level, using practical approaches and applying everyday activities to the learning experience. It exposes students to work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship as they relate to the real world and provides them with a simulated experience of how the economy works, possible career options they can pursue, prepares them to be more functional citizens in the country and to become better able to thrive and compete in a global economy.
