Manager for a Day was the final activity for National Careers Week. This was where we invited corporate organizations to host/introduce students to the different aspects of their respective companies. Students were hosted at GK General Insurance Company and the Ministry of Finance & Planning where they got the opportunity to job shadow various careers in the organizations.
Additionally, representatives from companies such as Ernst & Young Services Ltd and Couples Resort went into select schools where they did a presentation around different career opportunities, selecting the best careers and how to prepare for the world of work. Finally, Grace Agro Processing, Black River Fire Station and Bashco Trading Ltd. invited students to visit their respective businesses to do a tour of their facilities, which included demonstrations of various processes, the different machines and equipment and how they are used, etc.
